The Poetry of Antiguan Poet Kimolisa Ming

June 18, 2010

ONE WORD

by Kimolisa Ming

One word
Written on paper.

One soul
Drifting in the atmosphere.

One dream
At one’s finger tips.

One step made
And then another.

One love lost,
Another waiting to be found.

One life to live
Never to be squandered.

One word
Written on paper.

Live!

COLOURS OF MY WORDS

by Kimolisa Ming

This page is like
An empty canvas,
Awaiting to be
Splashed by the colour
Words can give it.

It doesn’t matter
If the pen is
Black, red or blue inked,
The fact is the words
Hold colours.

Colours
Of reality,
Of fantasy,
Of fiction,
Of non-fiction.

Now,
This page
Is a work of art.
Now,
It’s filled
With the colours
Of my words.
